In my first months of serving as pastor of FBC Sanger, the Stewardship Committee was talking about the three loans held by the church. They discussed trying to pay off the smallest loan. I asked the committee if we could just challenge the church to pay off that loan and then roll that payment into the second loan. The committee agreed and you rose to the challenge and paid off nearly $100,000 in a month and a half. We then began tackling the next loan, which at the time was around $300,000. That loan, the Worship Center Remodel/Parking Lot loan now stands at just under $50,000. I would like to challenge us to pay this loan off.
Just as before, when we pay off this loan, we will not free up additional money for ministry. The money budgeted to pay off the current loan will simply be rolled into the payment for the Family Life Center loan. That loan currently is around $375,000. With the additional payments, we will save the church thousands of dollars in interest. I am asking you to consider giving above your tithe for a short time period to get this loan paid off. Will you join me in moving FBC Sanger down the road to being debt free?
