Women's Ministry

The Women's Ministry of FBC strives to create opportunities for women to worship Jesus Christ, deepen their relationship with Him through in-depth studies of His Word and serve Him by serving others in ways, which glorify Him and enhance our relationships with each other.

2 Corinthians 9:12 ~ "This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God."

Activities:

- Quarterly Luncheons -- for fun and fellowship

- Bible Studies -- offered in the Fall, Winter and Spring (Sign up at Welcome Desk or by calling the church office)

- LIFT (Ladies In Fellowship Together) -- meets the third Saturday of each month in the Fellowship Hall. LIFT includes the following ministries:

    a)   PieceMakers -- Quilts are made for those in our church body who are experiencing serious illnesses.  Each quilt is handmade with sisterly love, filled with God's Word and are a loving reminder that we are lifting them up in prayer. Please call Trisha Taylor at (940) 458-3602
    b)  First Call -- If you enjoy crocheting baby booties & caps, helping prepare personal gift baskets or delivering them when our newest members and their parents come home - please call Carolyn Saunders at (940) 458-3115.
    c)  Cookies 'Cause We Care -- God is richly blessing us with many visitors.  Let's show them that we care by visiting them and taking a little something sweet. For more information, contact Janis Tucker (940) 482-3934.
    d)  Encouraging Words -- Join other ladies as we write letters to those who are in need of just such a word.  Stationary and sample letters will be provided.  For more information, contact Jana Dean (940) 458-3491 or Peggy Hayes (940) 458-7309.
    e)  Compassionate Responders -- As a Compassionate Responder, you can help warm the heart and body of those who are in the hospital.  To put together "Compassion Packages" delivered to those hospitalized contact Debbie Burgett (940) 458-5243.

- Women on Missions -- Discover the joy of missions!  If you are a woman age 18 years and older you are invited to be a part of Women on Mission (previously "Baptist Women").   What do we do???  Women on Mission prays for and gives to missions, does missions, learns about missions, helps women to develop spiritually toward a mission-centered lifestyle, and participates in the work of the church and denomination. We have two groups that meet... a weekly group that meets during the day on Wednesdays and a monthly group that meets the first Tuesday night of each month at 7 pm.
